Small Claims Court
On August the 9th I was robbed by my friends's cousin. He is a crackhead. He stole my 48 wide screen tv. He was arrested that very same day on another charge. His mother is getting him out as we speak. I have filed charges fro theft but they will not hit until Tuesday. This took place in Lafayette La. He's from B.R. I am afraid that he will not be picked up on those charges.
What should I do ?

Since he has pending criminal charges I would expect in due course he will be arrested in B.R. If everything is in Lafayette (the pending criminal charge and your charge) let the DA's office there know and he should be arrested when he shows up for arraignment on the pending charge. If he doesn't show up for arraignment, a bench warrant will be issued for his arrest and he won't be able to get out until all the pending warrants are taken care of.

Make sure that the police know how interested you are and that they know how to find him.
