Legal Question in Personal Injury in Louisiana

I was involved in an accident the guy that hit me had no license. The vehicle he was in was rented by his cousin from Enterprise. And my insurance told me the other party had no insurance. Is someone able to rent a car without insurance? So the policeman gave the guy driving a ticket and they guy who rented the car a ticket. I want to know who is going to pay for my damages. Who is responsible? Shouldn't have Enterprise checked to see if they had current car insurance before renting them a vehicle?? If the cousin has a insurance policy in his name covering another vehicle should he be responsible to fix my vehicle?? Do policemen not verify to see if insurance is valid? plese help

If you have uninsured coverage, your insurance will pay. The driver of the vehicle who was at fault is responsible for your damages. Rental agencies require the renters to be insured or to purchase insurance. The problem may be that the cousin was not a covered driver on rental agreement. You need to contact a personal injury attorney.
