Legal Question in Product Liability in Louisiana
I purchased a car from a car lot on feb 18,2011 and on feb19, 2011 the engine starting knotting so i had the car towed back to the dealership for them to take a look at the car hoping they would fix the problem but he said i bought it as is yes i did but i thought i bought a good running car for 3,000.00dlrs not a body thats not right . I know they new something was wrong with that car what is the problem is that I'm without a car and 3000dlrs please help me.

Even if you purchased a vehicle "as is", it must be usable for the purpose purchased. You have three days under the lemon law to return a vehicle not usable.
The Lemon law only applies to new cars, but otherwise Ms. Lucas is correct. Even if you buy it as is, you have a right to expect at least a minimum of use out of the product.
