Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

Our dad died; one of 5 is holding up sale of property. What to do?

Our dad passed away in March of 2000. All that was left of his possessions was his house. All 5 of us thought that one of the sisters was going to purchase the house and live there.

It's now nearly one year later and she won't get the house in her name.

We can't seem to move her off ''square one''

The rest of us would like out part of the inheritence.

How can we force her to make a decision?

Before I can begin to answer your questions, I need more information--i.e., where did your father die (what state); where is his house located (what state); was your father married at the time of his death?; did your father leave a Last Will before his death?; Are you and all of your siblings over the age of majority?; Did your father have any other children other than the five of you?

With this information, I may be able to answer your questions better....
