Legal Question in Construction Law in Maine
Construction problem
The slab that my six year old log
home sets on has settled more than
3 inches below the frost wall. This
settling has caused every ceramic tile
around the outside walls to crack and
lift. Do I have any legal rights to go
back to the contractor who did my
ground work, frost wall, and slab to
get this fixed?

Re: Construction problem
This would all depend on the contract that you signed with him for the construction of your home as well as construction defect law in Maine.
Therefore, you may have a case but I don't have all the facts to advise you further.
Good luck!
