Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Maine

If a person has a legal typed will written in 1998, hand write something in 2004, initials it..is this legal ?

If the question asks can the 1998 Will be replaced by an handwritten Will in 2004, the answer is it could provided the handwriten Will is executed properly, and initialling it is not proper execution.

If the question is can the 1998 Will have handwritten changes made to it and initialled in 2004, the answer is that is not a proper way to create a codicil to a Will and the changes would not likely be recognised by the Court as valid.
