Legal Question in Business Law in Maryland
I want to know if I can sure my car insurance company for small claims. Nationwide is the company that covers me. I was set up on automatic monthly payments for about 160 every month. February came and they took out an additional 50 dollars. I immediately contaced my agent he told me that there was a system problem and he would fix it and I would get my money back. Weeks went by and still no money. I contacted him again because march was coming up and he brushed me off. He stopped responding to my emails and wouldn't answer the phone. I got in touch with a manager and he apologized and said he had fixed it and the money would get credited back to me. He asked me to contact me bank and do a stop payment on march's charge a 30.00 fee he said he would cover but because my bank wasn't given a full 3 business days the payment went through and took another 50 dollars. I called him and he said that I can't get my money back and that the company would hold on to my 100 dollars to cover my future payments. That's some bs I need my money back. I'm a fulltime student putting myself through college and working part time every penny counts. Can they do this?

You can take them to small claims court. Let the chips fall where they may. Best of luck.
