Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Maryland

Can a police officer disclose specific details about my arrest and detainment to his friends? I was arrested and an officer that i know a the precinct left after his shift and told mutual friends every detail of my arrest. The officer knows that there is bad blood between myself and the person that he told. I am self employeed and the person that he told has been using whatever he can to get me to go out of business and the officer knew that when he told him all about my arrest.

Sorry, but the details of an arrest are public record. The cop didn't tell these folks anything that was a secret of confidential. He may be a jerk, but he didn't do anything illegal.

Best of luck.******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******
