Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maryland

I am being threatened by a company Mullins and Kane who claim to be a law firm but I believe them to be a glorified collectins agency. Are they with in legal right to call my relatives and tell my business to try to contact me?

No, they don't have that right. They might have violated the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act by making certain statements. You should contact an attorney to determine if a lawsuit should be filed against the original creditor and Mullins and Kane.
