Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

Can a 2nd degree assault conviction (probation) be expunged from your record in Maryland? A little build up for you, about 14 years ago my father and I got in a fight. People at the house called the police to break us up. The officer arrested me. When we went to court my father did not testify against me and even stood next to me at the Defendants table. I was given one year of probation. So, like I asked previously, can that assault be taken off of my record through expungement?

Maryland law does not permit expungement of a conviction for second-degree assault. However, if the court entered probation before judgment, and at least three years has elapsed since the probation ended, then you might qualify to have it expunged.
