Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
My 18 year old daughter has been arrested for 2nd degree assault and disorderly conduct. What steps do I take next? Do I call a lawyer? Do I wait for her to call me after she has talked with the commissioner? What do I do?

She definitely needs to consult a lawyer. Assault 2nd carries a 10 year max, even though it is only a misdemeanor.
