Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

arrested due to state losing records

In 2004 I was attending the maryland DDMP for a prescription medication. I completed what I was supposed to complete according to my probation officer. Approximately may 2009 I was arrested and detained and lost my job because the DDMP lost the record that I had completed the course. I have had the same phone number since I was attending the program and was never notified that they lost my folder. I feel that this was unfair and unjust and because of them being irresponsible I put in jail for 3 days and lost my job.

Re: arrested due to state losing records

It is unfair and unjust to lose your job and spend three days in jail, because of someone's mistake. However, I doubt that you will receive anything other than an application for unemployment benefits from the state.

Ask your former employer to reconsider, based on the mistake, and make a complaint to Gov. O'Malley.
