when you get arrested do the police have to read you ur rights...and what if they dont

They are supposed to read you your Miranda rights. However, unless you make a statement in response to police questioning while you are in custody and without having been read your rights, then it does not matter. If you did answer the police's questions while in custody without having been read your rights, or if the police ignored your exercise of your rights then your statement may be excluded from evidence.
