My boyfrjend was charged with first degree assault on me. If we get married will it help his case were in MD

Provided that the marriage is not a sham, you could invoke spousal privilege and not testify one time. However, if there were other witnesses who can testify, or if you have previously invoked spousal privilege, then the state can pursue the charge.
