Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
burglary charge
i just got charging documents for 4th degree burglary, 4th degree theft, and theft over 500...what is the maximum penalties i could face.....I dont have any other criminal charges.....is probation in the question....do you think i will do time?

You need a lawyer immediately!!! You can go to my web page to get a rights card, you should not speak to the police for any reason. Here are the penalties:
theft over $500:up to 15 years
Burglary 4: up to 3 years

Probation is always an option on a 1st offense. Just make sure you get a good lawyer to explore all options.
