Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
i got a civil citation for fictitious drivers license. the disposition was nolle prose. when applying for jobs and they ask me if i have ever been CHARGED with a crime. do i have to say yes ( the cop told me it was a civil matter and not criminal?)

No you can safely answer no if this was a civil citation. You should, however, file an expungement to seal the public record.

To be sure you need to know how the law classifies the statute that you were charged with violating. Police officers are not likely to be lawyers. Your paperwork would indicate.
