Whether to have an attorney is your choice. Consider you know the law, procedure, court, and prosecutor well enough to risk having a permanent criminal record and possibly serving time. An experienced criminal defense attorney can help you evaluate defenses and mitigation. Seek a confidential consultation, and beware that online posts are not confidential.
