felony dismissal

if you receive a letter from the judge after a preliminary hearing stating for u to return to district court on a certain date for felony dismissal, what does that mean? And are you able to come home after the felony dismissal?

If the felony dismissal notice directs you to appear, then you must appear. Usually, it indicates the deadline by which the state's attorney must file an indictment or information in circuit court. Either the circuit court case would supersede the district court one, or the district court would dismiss the felony charges. If there are misdemeanor charges, then those would not be dismissed and you would have to appear to answer for them.
