Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

Filing Discovery

If I use a form found online to request Discovery for a case in Circuit Court who do I send it to? The prosecutor? The court? Should I send it certified?

Should I keep the form confined to the information that applies to my case only?

Re: Filing Discovery

The rules for pretrial discovery are very specific depending upon the type of case. You should carefully review the Maryland Rules of Procedure (I am assuming you are in a Maryland state court) before filing and serving your discovery requests. The Rules are available in most public libraries, or in the library of the Circuit Court in your county.

Re: Filing Discovery

You are entering into an arena that may well make or break your case. I would suggest reading the maryland rules of criminal procedure and or contacting / retaining an attorney to represent you. Your case must be of the serious nature as it is in the circuit court.

I would be happy to discuss your matter during a consultation if you so desire.
