Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

review of court transcripts

my son was sentence to 4 years at the Maryland Department of Corrections on 23 Jan 04..the problem is that we feel that the lawyer did not have time to prepare for my son's case...due to problems raising the lawyer's fee we were not able to pay the lawyer until the afternoon before my son's court date....needless to say my son ended up going to jail..would anyone be willing to look at the court transcripts to see if the lawyer did all that he could do to represent my son

Re: review of court transcripts

Please keep in mind that you have 10 days to ask for a new trial, 30 days to appeal and 90 days to ask for a reconsideration of sentence, so time is of the essence.

Having said that, I would be happy to review the transcript, but it would have to be done real soon.

Please contact me if interested.
