Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
I was found guilty of felony theft in Circuit Court, and believe my Constitutional Rights were violated by my public defender. I am currently free and awaiting sentencing, What are my Options?

First, make an appointment to discuss your concerns with your public defender. If after that you are still not satisfied, then hire private counsel. Keep in mind that private counsel and public defenders alike are supposed to give you their honest professional opinion, based on their experience. They are not supposed to just agree with you and say whatever you want, just like a doctor is not supposed to just tell you that you're fine, if you are injured or sick, but would like to hear that you're fine.
