Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

Growing Marijuana

My husband and his friend have are growing a lot of marijuana plants in our home for personal use. I do not do drugs. Despite the obvious marital issues what are the consequences to both of us, our children, our home, our home-based business if they get caught?

Re: Growing Marijuana

The results could be considerable. You could loose your children to foster care while each of you are incarcerated under drug cultivation and trafficing charges. Depending on the quantity, this could range from a few years of prison to 20 years.

If that isn't enough, you could loose your house and other property. Depending on whether your home based business requires a license, you could be put out of business by the revocation of that license.

If you are experiencing marital discord, now may be a time to decide to sever the marriage. If you are considering a divorce and custody action, you are strongly advised to seek the assistance of an attorney due to the nature of the matter.

You can be subject to criminal sanctions, ie possession with intent to distribute, growind cds, etc. Also, your home can be siezed and forfeited. I would be happy to discuss this matter further with you..
