Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

i hired a lawywer to represent me in a criminal case, at the trial i asked my lawyer whether i should testify or not, she said it was my choice she cant tell me what to do, i testifiied and it was the wrong thing to do,my lawyer was also not aggressive because she gave me a discounted rate i dont believe she wwas as interested in my case, she didnt cross examine as she should have and allowed me to be badgered on the stand can i request a new trial because of my lawyer?

You may want to consider postconviction or coram nobis depending on how long it has been since conviction. Perhaps your lawyer's ineffectiveness was bad enough that the court may order a new trial.
