Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
Hello iam a minor who was recently caught shoplifting and the total of the stolen items was 70 dollars and I have to go to court in Maryland. Will I go to prison and if not what will happen

Unless you have previously convicted in criminal court, then as a minor only juvenile court has jurisdiction. Juvenile court does not send respondents to prison, although it can detain them in places that seem a lot like prisons.
