If you were found guilty, then the court would inquire about your ability to repay the amount taken. If you can, then it is more likely the court will impose probatio. If not, jail becomes more likely

Theft over $1,000.00 carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in jail. Talk to a public defender or a criminal lawyer, like myself.

If you didn't do it, then how will they prove it? Did they already file charges? If so, the State will have an experienced prosecutor in Court. Either way, do two things: 1) Get a lawyer. 2) Don't talk to ANYONE about this case except YOUR lawyer.
