My son was arrested for shoplifting in Anne Arundel County, MD. The charge is theft under $100.00. Should we have a lawyer with us when we go to court?

yes. When dealing with a criminal matter you should have a lawyer representing you.

Definitely! This charge in adult court would carry up to 90 days jail, but in juvenile it could mean detention in a juvenile facility until 18.
