Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

Hi i am leased to a trucking company. or should i say was. I was told a long time ago that a company cant hold my pay check. Even if i quite the company. They are holding my escrow which i herd was legal. For 90 days. Or is it 45 days? My pay check is for 1800 hundred dollars. My wife thinks it chould be a crime like grand larceny. I live in maryland and they are in chicago. Should i just forget about it or do i have a suit? thank you very much.

I'm unsure of the question, based on the information provided. It sounds as though you truck for a living and that you had a lease arrangement with a trucking company. For whatever reason, you quit the company and they are withholding your last pay check -- I'm unsure what your "escrow" is?. If you earned the money, they can only hold it for a reasonable time. It is your money after all. I would strongly recommend that you re-submit your question with additional facts so that an attorney can accurately answer your question. Either that or hire a Maryland lawyer who can take the time with you to understand your situation and advise you accordingly.
