what is maryland rule 4-252 in lines of withdrawing motions in a theft charge case? what does that mean?

Maryland Rule 4-252 deals with making motions in circuit court. If a case will resolve by way of a guilty plea, then outstanding motions have to be withdrawn. Some judges ask the defense to state on the record that the motions are withdrawn.
