Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
As a part of a criminal case, restitution is ordered and the case is dropped by the states attorney after the restitution is paid. All parties agree and the restitution order and nole disposition is carried out. Can the plaintifs now bring a civil suit to get more money than the restitution order stipulates?
