In general, the answer is no, you have not been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor. However, in some situations, such as those involving immigration, a PBJ may be considered a conviction.

Probation before judgement is a provision of Maryland law in which the court strikes a guilty finding, so that you may honestly say that you were not convicted. However, federal law does not recongnize it and treats it as if it were a conviction.
