Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

peace order

i filed a peace order against my ex. He broke several times and went to jail. He got out. We try to work things out(peace order still in effect). He started acting crazy again and so came to my job and broke into my car. i called police i said that he broke in my car and broke peace order. I didnt know that we had broke it by seeing each other i thought he would just get in trouble if i called on him. Now hes going to court for braking all peace orders including the ones that we had violated prior to coming to my job. will i get locked up for also violating the peace order that i filed? They will bring that up in court and i was worried ill go to jail

Re: peace order

You could potentially be charged with violating the order, but until that officially happens, you can't just be locked up when you go to court. You might want to check with the court clerk to make sure a criminal summons hasnt been issued for you.

Re: peace order

You could be charged. And the court may not take you seriously if you broke the peace order.
