Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
If a person is a registered child sex offender,and is not allowed around children,will he be allowed to go to family functions where there will be children,if he is not left alone with them?

Probably not. The parole and probation papers should have explained whether registration was for a term of years or life. However the requirements were changed last year, meaning that some people must now register for life who did not have to previously.
Maybe the authorities would never find out about the gathering, but if someone at the gathering gets pissed, then they might be told.
