Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
if a person is wanted on an arrest warrant and lays low for 7 years without any infractions,will this warrant be lifted?

No. The warrant must be served or recalled. However, the strength of the state's case may have been adversely affected by the passage of time. Depending on the case the ability to make a defense may also have been adversely affected. However the defendant does not have the burden of proof.
