That depends on whether you are in state or federal court, whether you have a prior record and what it is for, what the prosecution asks for, and who the judge is. The statutory maximum punishments in state court in Maryland is 4 years incarceration and a $25,000 fine. Subsequent offenders may be subject to enhanced penalties.
