Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

This is a rape case. I am the only witness and the trail starts in a week. The State Attorney asked to have a meeting with me and i went to the meeting. I can tell it wasnt going to be a friendly meeting. She asked me what happen that night, Than she asked me if i thimk he raped her. I told the truth and said i dont believe that is was raped because if her actions that night, that fact that she didnt say everything that happened and this type of situation happened before where she got drunk and had sex with another friends boyfriend. I already knew that she knew i didnt believe her. She started say will all i have to do is prove she was drunk, she had sex and she couldnt defend herself cause she was passed out. But her client said it was force and she basically told a whole story to the point she cant say she was passed out the before and after sex happen. I dont understand that if the state attorney says she have a case, why was she tryin to intergate me. Is it because she trying to make a case out of me she really dont have a case? because there is no evidence and its basically " he said" "she said"case and if she offered a pledge bargain does that mean she has a case and that the case cant be dropped or can it still be dropped?

If you are summoned as a witness, then you must appear when summoned to do so or face possible contempt of court. You must testify, unless you have a privilege from doing so, such as self-incrimination or spouse. However, you are not required to speak to anyone else.

How the parties and attorneys in a case conduct themselves is up to them. There is no law that requires good manners. Either we learned them and follow them, or we don't. You can wonder all day long about another person's motives, and that includes attorneys, but you cannot read another person's mind. Sometimes lawyers do not have good judgement and tact.
