Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
I just received a stet verdict on a criminal case. It was an unlawful arrest by a police officer but i was told this was my best option because police officers lie to cover there ass. I have a civil suite against the officer who arrested me and beat me to the ground. If I pursue this civil suite would they pull this stet charge back out against me or could they not do this?

In general terms a civil suit does not come together with a criminal suit as they are two different legal actions. Without knowing the facts and what you are involved with I cannot set forth which case is more probable of a favorable outcome.
