A sealed search and seizure warrant (sealed) - how can you get a copy and should you receive a signed and dated copy upon entry into your premises. Thank you.

Signed copies are not provided, but an unsigned copy is left at the premises, in order to inform the owner or lessee that the police as opposed of burglars entered. In some communities there have been problems with people trying to forge judges' signatures on other documents, such as release orders to jails and prisons, so signed copies are not provided. If a person doubts that there is a signed warrant, then whatever is in the court's file would have to be produced for a suppression hearing in a criminal trial or for trial in a civil suit for trespass.
