Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
Can a wife be forced to testify against her husband here in Maryland? (a fight between my brother and husband) i have no one to watch my daughter the day of court and will have her present with me even when called to the stand. what will happen? i will NOT allow anyone to hold my child. Can the judge force me to do this?

While spousal privilege prevents you from having to be a witness against your husband, you still must appear when summoned by the court, or else risk being arrested and jailed for contempt of court.
