I received a dui in state of Maryland three years ago and now after my points have been cleared The MVA is requesting a hearing to show cause why my licsense shouldnt be revoked Can they do this even after the points have been removed off my driving record?

Yes, you can be revoked from the conviction and the imposition of the points. But the question I have is why has it taken three years for them to get their act together and request the suspension? Also, they don't request a hearing, they request a suspension. You have to request the hearing. Regardless, DEFINITELY request a hearing! And come see me with the paperwork and I'll figure it out.
The notice should indicate whether the proposed revocation is because of the dui points or for some other reason. Perhaps the MVA's delay would be a basis to request "no action."
