Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

after 6 years in elementary school, my daughter's father is once again complaining at the middle school she currently attends. he is about to restart court proceedings to overturn custody so that she can attend a school closer to his home. she has a straight "A" avg and is doing well where she is. can and would a judge decide to switch custody based on a father's school preference? i have attempted to open the dialoque last fall, as per court order, but the father never responded.

The court can determine the father can make decisions regarding where she goes to school. You should obtain a lawyer to represent you in this matter. If you cannot afford a lawyer, contact the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service.
