i was an abused child and ended up in a foster home in temporary status or CINA. the day before my hearing for permanent placement my father walked into social services and signed me over to the state. does this severe ties with any children i may have in the future with my biological parents?

As far as what?

Your birth parents cannot force visitation with your children. They cannot inherit from your parents if your parents die intestate. At the same time, your parents cannot inherit from them through intestate laws.

Nevertheless, once your children are adults they can always look them up and establish a relationship with them. You or nobody else can stop this, especially with DNA services such as 23andMe and Ancestors.com. Moreover, they have a right to know their genetic medical history. This can only be done properly by talking with the family.
