Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland
My boyfriend is 28 years old and lives at home because his parents wont let him leave his house. They have emotionally abused him his whole life, he wants to be with me but they tell him he is not allowed and he doesnt know what to do. Is there any laws out there that can help him get them arrested or in trouble for treating him this way. To top it all off he and all of his brothers and sisters are adoptive but they only treat him like this what can he do? Please help

Is that a typo, or is your boyfriend actually 28. If so, he can leave without his parent's permission.
If he is 18, Article 1, 1 24, of the Maryland Annotated Code provides that the age of majority is 18, and that a person reaching that age is an adult for all purposes unless otherwise prohibited by statute.
