Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

I tried to get Certified Final Divorce Decree from Talbot County, MD. It is needed for Immigration purpose to get my foreigner fiance here. The Hearing of my Divorce before did not attended by the ex, since she failed to attend even the Court had sent her mail many times so the the Hearing was performance without her appearance. The Clerk few days later handed me a paper tittled "FINAL JUDGEMENT OF DIVORCE" and when i sent it to USCIS, they did not take it as a proof of Marriage Termination. So that i tried to get the Final Divorce Decree. I just don't know the procedure to get it. Please help.

The clerk of court will provide a certified copy for a fee. You can walk into the civil clerks office at the circuit court, give your case number and ask for a certified copy of the divorce decree. They should issue it on the spot.
