Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

I have two checking accounts(two different account #s)

with the same bank. One is with my mom because she is elderly and I pay her bills. The other is with my husband. My question is if my mom has creditors coming after her can they also access the account I have with my husband?

First, the creditors have to obtain a judgment against your mother. If they obtain a judgment against your mother, and not you, they cannot touch your assets. Second, if you were a guarantor, the creditors would still have to obtain a judgment against you. Thereafter, they can place a lien against your property. However, if you did not co-sign or guarantee the debt, you should not have anything to worry about in this matter.
