Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

i was in a child custody case over a year ago it was settled and closed. my children were appointed a lawyer by the court and me and my ex had to split the costs. just the other day she called them and they sent me a bill for it how is this fair

Pay your half and tell them to look to your ex for the rest.

I agree. There cannot be a back agreement between the children's lawyer and your ex. If the court order a 50/50 split, you are obligated to pay 50%, and that's it.
