Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland
Can I get a court ordered visitation if my child lives in another state

The fact that you live in another still does NOT automatically preclude you from be awarded court ordered visitation. I STRONGLY recommend that you consult with an family law attorney about the benefits and burdens of seeking court ordered visitation, the process (how long does it take? will I have to go to the other state to appear in court?), the cost, etc.
Best of luck.******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******
I agree wit the prior answer. You can get visitation if the child lives in another state. However, you didn't disclose the state where your child current lives. If she lives in Maryland, New York, DC, or Georgia, I am available to discuss the matter with your further in one of my local offices.
