custody

i have been sent a request for documents and interrogatories, mostly about my finances. i feel that this has nothing to do with custody. what do i do?

It has to do with child support, which is inextricably related to custody. MD law determines the amount of support that is to be paid by each parent based upon their gross income, which includes not only your salary but any other forms of income, such as interest, dividends, etc. The other party has a right to verify all sources of income, and that's why you have received this request.

You would be well advised to seek representation by an experienced family attorney if you want to protect your interests.
