I went through a divorce in March of 2008, how can I change my name back to my maiden name?

At this point, you'd have to file a separate action for a change of name. You can be restored to the use of a former name at the time a divorce is granted, but not after. Filing for a name change is a relatively simple procedure, but there will be modest costs to file the action and to publish notice of the name change request. These costs could have been avoided by seeking the name change in 2008, but not now.
