"My question is this: If i was married in July 2009, and I want an annument or divorce. Do I have to wait a year like a divorce would or can I get the marrage to end immediately?

It depends on the circumstances. If there are fault grounds for divorce, (e.g., adultery, domestic violence), the you can file for divorce immediately. Annulment is also a possibility, but only if you can show that the marriage was based on fraud or duress, or that the marriage was not legal (e.g., that one of the parties was still married at the time of divorce). It all depends why you want a quick divorce. Unless there are grounds for annulment, the following would permit an immediate divorce:
FAM. LAW � 7-103
(a) The court may decree an absolute divorce on the following grounds:
(1) adultery;
(7) cruelty of treatment toward the complaining party or a minor child of the complaining party, if there is no reasonable expectation of reconciliation; or
(8) excessively vicious conduct toward the complaining party or a minor child of the complaining party, if there is no reasonable expectation of reconciliation.
