Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland
Social Services Visit To Our Home
My child admitted to experimenting sexually with at least one other boy about the same age and perhapas a younger child. While it's a he said, she said thing, our child has admitted to doing things he had no idea why he did it. He has entered therapy and we think somewhere along the line he in fact was abused or exposed to an influence at daycare or elsewhere and the therapist concurs. Yet Social Services will visit to speak to him/us and the police now want to be there. Yet we are doing all the right things to address the issue and have let the affected family know all the steps and progress we have made it appears that they are forcing the issue and the possiblity of charges loom and have been spoken about. We are talking about an 8 year old here.

Do NOT let anyone speak to your child without speaking with a lawyer.

In my experience, nothing good will come from speaking with Social Services. You will be better off speaking with a lawyer.
